uView Player is designed to function in a multitasking environment allowing you to play video in the always-on-top, floating window it creates. In other words, you can keep watching content like YouTube, Netflix or Twitch, without breaking from a task you might be completing or a game you might be playing. The player is able to run in Picture-in-Picture mode as well and additionally supports well-known sites like Netflix, YouTube, TikTok, Sonic, Twitch, and Crunchyroll. The interface is minimal yet easy to use to control the size, position, and opacity of the player. There is a lock feature to block accidental clicks or movements when you really want to focus, but you can also list your playlists and bookmarks, and also track your preferred channels with its follower manager. uView Player was created to minimize the need to switch tabs and windows, creating a single viewing experience; instead of having to watch the streaming content you want to watch limited to a tab or window, you can have your content intentionally visible. It runs light, so it can even be used on systems that do not have much resource to spare. Overall, it represents a flexible way to watch video content, while being able to work across other tasks.
